Your tasks The Prosecution Authority is looking for someone who wants to play a central role in criminal prosecution. As a prosecutor, you will apply legal precedent in theory and practice with significant independent responsibility and in collaboration with others. As an assistant prosecutor, you will work with all aspects of criminal cases in a general prosecution chamber. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions on prosecution, and represent the state in court proceedings. Your qualities and qualifications We are looking for someone who has Swedish citizenship a Nordic law degree notarial certification from a district court or administrative court experience from other qualified legal work for at least two years after your notarial service, primarily within criminal law. This refers primarily to work as an appellate court assessor, lawyer, or other legal experience with criminal cases. As a person, we want you to have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law be legally skilled have the ability to collaborate and lead others be driven, able to organize and prioritize your work, and make independent decisions be stable and have good judgment have strong analytical skills and critical thinking ability have good communication skills. The recruitment process Employment as an assistant prosecutor is a fixed-term position or a qualification-building position for at least twelve months before you can receive a waiver to be appointed as a permanent chamber prosecutor. Before making an employment offer, the Prosecution Authority may conduct register checks in the suspicion register and the criminal record register. The register check will be conducted on the final candidate. Tests may be included in the recruitment process. If the selected candidate holds a position at the Economic Crimes Authority or within the Swedish courts, a collectively agreed fixed-term employment (so-called qualification-building position) will be applied. The Prosecution Authority is a civil defense agency. Upon employment, you may be assigned to civil defense duty at the Prosecution Authority.
