Then you now have the chance to contribute your experience in land and development to develop Söderköping in a sustainable and attractive way. You will come into a broad role with both long-term strategic issues and fast-paced operational matters. As an employee within the unit that works with strategic issues and community planning, you will be involved in several stages of the community development process. You will work closely with the administration's other development engineer. You view high service levels as self-evident, both externally and internally. You appreciate working independently but also have a good ability to collaborate when needed, as the role involves you being involved in many different contexts. The role includes responsibility for the municipality's real estate holdings, both regarding sales, acquisitions, and representing the municipality as a property owner. Your colleagues within the unit are planning architects and strategic functions within the technical area. Within the administration there are also environment and building permit offices. Job Description The role belongs to the Strategy and Planning unit and currently consists of 5 employees: development engineers, planning architects, and a unit manager. Additional resources will also be recruited for the strategic functions, which are under development. As a development engineer, you represent the municipality as a landowner, to both external and internal stakeholders. You prepare analyses and necessary decision-making materials, particularly regarding land issues. You have some economic responsibility for the parts concerning the municipality's real estate holdings. The position involves strategic and operational work with planning and management of the municipality's land to create conditions for developing the land according to political goals. The role is a communicative one as you have contact with landowners, tenants, companies, municipality residents, authorities, and representatives of other administrations. The role is part of the municipality's project organization for the new route of E22 and involves responsibility for contacts with the Road Administration's land negotiator and affected tenants regarding matters concerning the municipality's real estate holdings. The work tasks consist mainly of: Negotiating and drawing up agreements on easements, leases, or other usage rights Negotiating and drawing up agreements on the purchase and sale of land Actively participate in the entire detailed planning process including implementation Leading development projects Representing the municipality as a landowner in cadastral surveys Qualifications We are looking for someone who has higher education in real estate law, surveying, law, land, or other education that includes real estate law issues and which the employer deems equivalent. You must have at least three years of experience in real estate management or land and development within public sector activities, as well as knowledge of real estate law. We expect you to have good knowledge of the community development process, for example within planning and building areas, as well as experience working with business or case management systems. You need to have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is meriting if you have knowledge of regulations for and have driven projects related to contaminated land. A B-class driver's license is required for the position.
