About the Position
We are now looking for event staff who want to work at trade shows and events at Svenska Mässan in Gothenburg. As event staff, you are an important part of the visitor experience and work in a social, service-oriented, and varied environment where thousands of visitors pass through each day.
As event staff at Svenska Mässan, you are the face of the fair to its visitors. You will be assigned a main area and contribute to creating structure, service, and professional treatment throughout the entire event. Working hours are varying and may be scheduled for mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. We appreciate flexibility, as shifts can vary in timing.
The role is flexible and periodically intensive, meaning there may be periods of several weeks without work, but when a fair is held, there will be many hours over a few days, which can compensate for the rest of the month. This makes the position particularly suitable for you if you are a student, retiree, or have another primary occupation and want to work extra as needed.
Examples of work tasks:
Welcome visitors as an entrance attendant
Work as a hall and stage attendant at seminars
Handle coat check operations
Work as a cashier at entrances and sales points
Provide good service and information to visitors during the ongoing fair or event
About You
We would like you to be service-minded, outgoing, and customer-focused. Interacting with other people comes naturally to you, and you have a genuine desire to create a positive experience for each visitor. You are attentive, solution-oriented, and have the ability to treat different types of people in a professional and friendly manner, even at a fast pace. You communicate fluently in Swedish and to some extent in English.
It is a plus if you have a flexible schedule and can step in on short notice.
Important for the Position:
You are service-minded, outgoing, and customer-focused
Good Swedish language skills, and you are comfortable communicating in English
You have a flexible schedule and the ability to work on short notice
You are at least 18 years old
Previous experience in customer service is a plus
Please note that you must be a student, retiree, or have another primary occupation of at least 50% in order to be eligible for employment.
For the right person, there are good opportunities for recurring work at several fairs and events held throughout the year.
