We warmly welcome your application! Job Responsibilities KTH is now seeking a qualified and engaged EU Economist for Business Support. The role of EU Economist plays an important role in supporting the school's institutions and their researchers/project managers with financial administration matters in EU-funded projects. As an EU Economist with us, you will be responsible for the financial management of research projects, from budget calculations for grant applications, budgeting for approved projects to project reporting. The work is conducted in close collaboration with the school's researchers/project managers. The work includes tasks such as: - Advice and support in budget calculations for applications - Project budgeting following approved grants - Financial statements and monitoring of revenues and costs within EU-funded grant projects - Financial reporting to funders and participation in audits in accordance with EU regulations and KTH's internal guidelines - Communication with the EU Commission and participating partners to ensure compliance with financial and administrative requirements - Support researchers throughout the project cycle, from application to completed projects with focus on financial administration tasks - Other tasks may also occur Qualifications Requirements - Bachelor's degree in economics or work experience that we assess as equivalent - Experience working with accounting and monitoring - Communication skills and the ability to explain economic concepts in an understandable way - Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing – both languages are required in daily work as we operate in an international environment - Good knowledge of the Office package - Experience working in large business systems such as Agresso, SAP or similar Personal Qualities To succeed in the role of EU Economist, you need to be independent, structured, quality-conscious and service-oriented. In addition, you need to have pedagogical insight and be comfortable in an environment with many contact points and varying work tasks.
