Alma Assistans is a dedicated company that works in collaboration with clients to provide personalized assistance. We work closely with our clients and understand that good relationships are the key to well-functioning assistance. We operate throughout Sweden with our head office in Uppsala and local offices in Gävle, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Jönköping, and Växjö. We are now looking to expand our team with an assistant who can work part-time, primarily shifts around 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM on weekdays, and sometimes weekends and public holidays, at various times (no nights). Day shifts on weekdays can also occur, and occasionally accompanying her to high school. Training can begin fairly quickly with the right person. So we're looking for someone who is passionate about helping and has excellent communication skills. You are attentive and have an easy time seeing and meeting the client's needs. The work requires that you are self-motivated and have good initiative. It's great if you can keep your childlike spirit, which can help the young woman have an inclusive and meaningful everyday life. She is 18 years old and lives with her family in Gävle; there are also dogs in the home. She has multiple disabilities that mean she needs assistance and support from you in all types of situations at home, school, and during leisure activities, etc. Your workplace is wherever the young woman is. The young woman uses a wheelchair and transfers are mostly done with a lift, which you will receive training on. Her care and support needs are extensive and it means you need to help with all hygiene, showering, dressing and undressing, feeding via "button/PEG", exercise such as stretching and other activities. It's great if you have previous experience working as an assistant in a family. Experience with different assistive devices such as a wheelchair, lift, and tube feeding is also a plus. We'd like you to have a driver's license, as she has her own car (manual transmission), so you can go on adventures and do fun things together. We conduct interviews on a rolling basis and the positions may be filled before the application deadline ends. Training will be offered quickly to the right person.
