ESG Specialist, Procurement Interim Position

Supply chains within the construction and infrastructure sectors are complex and consist of many actors, both local and global. About the Role We are now seeking a temporary replacement for the role of ESG Specialist, Procurement with a start date in November 2026. The interim position covers a full-time parental leave period and includes an onboarding phase before the leave begins as well as handover upon return to service. The estimated employment period is approximately 14 months with a possible extension. You will be a valuable team member within Peab's central procurement organization. In this role, working closely with colleagues, you will have a central role in Procurement's ongoing work to review and ensure the supply chain of Peab's suppliers. A responsibility area that encompasses multiple business units within Peab, from Construction and Infrastructure to Industry. The work is cross-functional and characterized by a focus on communication and development, which requires you to be self-driven, initiative-taking, persistent, structured, and have the ability to use communication as your primary tool. You will be part of the Procurement department at the group level and report to the Head of Procurement, Category Procurement. You will also collaborate closely with colleagues in sustainability reporting, procurement, business development, and environment. Your main responsibilities include: Drive and develop sustainability work within Procurement with focus on procurement categories and suppliers Take responsibility for sustainability reporting within areas that concern the Procurement organization Manage Peab Procurement's work in identifying sustainability risks in the supplier chain Support the procurement organization in the procurement process and review supplier assessments related to sustainability work Keep yourself and the organization updated through external analysis of new or expanded legal requirements and work proactively to create clear action plans to meet these Provide support and coordination in the work of responding to customer surveys related to sustainability work Represent Peab in relevant networks and external initiatives We are Looking for You Have experience from a similar role where you have worked with supplier assessments, supplier development, or equivalent. You have a good ability to work both in a structured and systematic way with sustainability issues. Have experience in project management Have good system proficiency Have post-secondary education in a relevant area Speak and write fluently in both Swedish and English Enjoy taking initiative and driving processes forward in a responsible and independent manner It is an advantage if you have a background in the construction industry and experience with sustainability reporting related to Procurement and suppliers. To succeed in this role, you need to be open to change and able to adapt to new conditions. You work in a structured and orderly manner, take responsibility for your work, and have the ability to independently drive issues forward. The role also requires social confidence and good collaboration skills, where you build trust and create good relationships with both colleagues and external contacts.
