Daugavpils State City Municipality Institution "Social Service"
is seeking an
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST.
Project Objective:
The project aims to provide children with behavioral and addiction problems, as well as their families, with individually tailored, comprehensive support based on collaboration among specialists from various fields. This enables families to receive necessary assistance in a timely and coordinated manner in one place.
Service delivery period from November 2026 to August 2029.
Main Responsibilities:
Occupational Therapy Service:
Provides support and consultations in accordance with the developed Support Plan, promotes the child's participation in daily activities across all areas of occupation, and provides support regarding sensory processes, using methods that help the child recognize and manage sensory information processing disorders that may cause behavioral and communication difficulties. Assesses the child's self-care skills and promotes independence in their performance.
Following a consultation cycle, prepares recommendations for the child and primary caregiver and submits them to the occupational therapy service social worker. Attends supervisions (1× per month), participates in team meetings (1× per month), and engages in professional development activities. Adheres to ethics, data protection, and confidentiality principles in work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (first cycle higher education) in healthcare (in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 617, Section 4.2);
- Functional specialist qualification in accordance with the profession standard and professional certification requirements and specialty certificate.
- Registration in the State Register of Healthcare Professionals and the Register of Healthcare Support Persons, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Experience over the previous three years performing professional occupational therapy activities with children or families (minimum 24 months of cumulative work experience).
Project Implementation Location:
Daugavpils State City Municipality Institution "Social Service" in cooperation with the Foundation "Latvia Children Support Fund" and the Association "Resilience Center".
Compensation: 50 euro/consultation.
