Welcome to Us Stockholm Municipality has an audit office that, on behalf of and in close collaboration with elected auditors, examines the city's operations. The audit assignment is one of the country's largest within public operations and covers Stockholm Municipality's activities within both committees and companies. You'll join a workplace where you become part of a qualified team! The audit office currently has just over 20 employees. Here economists, social workers, social scientists, and other specialists meet to examine and analyze the city's operations. You'll also have frequent contact with elected auditors and with both politicians and civil servants in the city. Financial audits are conducted by authorized auditors and consultants. The audit office is located on Kungsholmen, right next to Stockholm City Hall. We spend most of our working time at the office or out in the operations. We have flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home to help you balance your everyday life. Your Role Our audits cover all activities for which the city is responsible – from property management, traffic flow, investments, to care for children and the elderly, and much more. We rotate assignments, which means you have the opportunity to learn new things within several areas. What we examine and analyze includes, among other things, how well the city's committees and companies work to achieve the goals decided by the municipal council and whether laws and governing documents are followed. Right now, we need to strengthen our team that primarily examines societal development and corporate governance, and we're therefore looking for you with experience or interest in deepening your knowledge in this area. You will, both independently and together with others, be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on various audits. An important part of your work is to promote good dialogue with representatives of the committees and companies you audit, as well as with our principals, the city's elected auditors. Your Competence and Experience We're looking for you who have: Academic education in public administration, economics, social sciences, or other relevant educational background for the operations. Several years of experience in operational auditing, internal auditing, ISO auditing, or other types of work that we consider relevant, such as operational controller, qualified investigator, analyst, or supervisory inspector from a public organization. Several years of experience in public operations. Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Meritorious: Education focused on business economics, administrative economics. Experience in auditing or investigation within economic management, societal planning, societal development. Experience in municipal operations. We're primarily looking for you with several years of experience in the above areas.
