We want to give our students the best conditions to succeed in school. Klastorp-Essinge school unit has just over 400 students and consists of Klastorpsskolan (grades K-3) and Essingeskolan (grades K-6). Klastorpsskolan is beautifully located on Kungsholmen and Essingeskolan is centrally located, right in the village, on Stora Essingen. The unit has a joint student health initiative with a student health team that meets on Thursdays at Klastorpsskolan. Smedslättsskolan is a small, nice two-parallel K-6 school with approximately 400 students beautifully located in Bromma. Smedslättsskolan's student health team meets on Tuesdays. Together, we're now looking for a school psychologist at 40%. The student health team's primary mission is to work promotively and preventively to create a school environment that's good for students' learning, development, and health. You bring psychological expertise that supports the pedagogical work and the overall planning of student health initiatives. On behalf of the principal, you conduct psychological assessments, diagnostics, and evaluations of students, groups, and the organization. You contribute with: knowledge of psychological difficulties, such as anxiety and depression supportive conversations with students and consultative interventions for guardians and educators psychological knowledge about protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development, for example through training on mental health and mental health issues. Beyond direct student contact, you're also responsible for supervising and providing consultation to school staff in matters where psychological expertise is necessary. You assist with your expertise in conflict resolution and the school's crisis and disaster management, and provide supervision and support to school leadership in matters concerning organization, groups, resources, and handling of individual student cases. Your competence and experience We're looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and have knowledge and experience working with children. You're professional, engaged, and contribute structure, problem analysis, and a holistic perspective to salutogenic student health work. It's a great advantage if you have good knowledge of the school's organization and governing documents, as well as knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. To succeed in the role of school psychologist, you need to: have very strong analytical skills, take your own initiative, and apply an evidence-based and systematic approach. be able to work independently as well as together with colleagues, students, and guardians be relationship-building and trustworthy have experience with assessments and supervision have good insight into group processes and be able to manage crises and conflicts.
