About the Role Trafikverket is seeking an experienced road project engineer for a consulting assignment in Gothenburg. The role involves working as a resource consultant and supporting one or more project managers within road construction projects. The assignment also includes assisting other project units within the Investment Operations Area, Western Region as needed within the specified utilization rate. You will also contribute to knowledge transfer to Trafikverket employees regarding the work tasks you perform. Role and Responsibilities As a road project engineer, you will, among other things: Assist one or more project managers Support planning, administration, and monitoring Work with monitoring of time, cost, scope, risks, resources, quality, safety, environment, and work environment Assist the project manager in internal and external contacts Participate in meetings with consultants and contractors Prepare documentation for monitoring contractor deliveries Assist with proposals for decisions on measures, action alternatives, and resource allocation within the project scope Contribute to ensuring work is carried out in accordance with laws, regulations, guidelines, ordinances, and internal procedures and processes Competency Requirements We require that you meet all of the following mandatory requirements, which must be clearly evident in your CV: Academic education with a technical focus, minimum 120 credits within economics, engineering, or construction, or equivalent knowledge that the client deems comparable Minimum 5 years of experience, at least 50% utilization rate in the role, during the last 5 years working on road construction projects as a project engineer, contract engineer, project coordinator, or project economist At least 2 of the 5 years mentioned above must have been continuous in one assignment Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, time planning, and financial management in projects Certification according to TDOK 2018:0371 APV, at minimum according to requirements in stage 2.2 Driver's license for passenger car Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, we see that you have: Very good knowledge and experience working with the Office suite Very good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written Good collaboration skills Good initiative and drive Good ability to work in a structured and thorough manner Good problem-solving ability from a holistic perspective Ability to work independently Assignment Information Assignment Period: From contract start date until 2027-09-30 Extension Option: 1 + 1 year Scope: 100% Location: Gothenburg Physical Presence: Trafikverket office in Gothenburg 5 days per week Business Travel: May occur Application Please submit your application as soon as possible as the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
