About the Position
As a Production Technician in Assembly, you will be an important part of BAE Systems' continued expansion within the marine product area. The role is clearly production-focused, with significant responsibility for industrialization, method development, and optimization of production flows in a high-tech and regulated environment.
You will work closely with design, production, and development teams and play a central role in ensuring that products and processes are robust, efficient, and tailored for series production. The position demands extensive practical experience in production engineering, from early industrialization to ongoing improvement work in production.
The role is suitable for you if you have worked several years as a production technician and want to take clear technical responsibility in complex assembly and manufacturing environments.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for production engineering industrialization of new and existing products
Develop methods, processes, and assembly steps for efficient, safe, and stable production
Create and further develop assembly instructions and production engineering documentation
Work actively with drawing reviews from a production engineering perspective
Ensure producibility in collaboration with design and development
Plan and execute changes to production flows, layouts, and work methods
Specify and develop production equipment, fixtures, and lifting tools
Analyze assembly times, cycle times, and resource requirements
Participate in change and design groups as the production engineering representative
Contribute to digitalization of production and development of new working methods
Work daily in CAD and ERP/MPS systems
Ensure that production processes meet requirements for quality, delivery precision, and efficiency
We are Looking for You
You have several years of experience in production engineering within manufacturing or assembly industry, preferably in technically complex environments such as defense, automotive, automation, or heavy industry. You are experienced in driving production engineering issues from concept to implemented solutions in production.
We would like to see that you have:
Post-secondary education in engineering, for example mechanical engineering
Documented and practical experience working as a production technician (required)
Experience with industrialization, method development, and production optimization
Good ability to read, interpret, and review drawings and CAD documentation
Experience with ERP/MPS systems (SAP is a merit)
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written
Class B driver's license
Your Profile
You are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented with a clear production engineering holistic perspective. You understand how technical decisions impact production efficiency over time and have the ability to balance quality, safety, cost, and ergonomics.
You enjoy collaborating with other technical functions and are confident in driving production engineering issues in cross-functional forums. For you, continuous improvement is a natural part of everyday work.

The position involves work covered by defense secrecy, therefore a security clearance will be conducted and a health check will be performed before employment.
