As a unit manager at FMV, you'll have a central leadership role in a technically complex organization where your decisions and leadership make a concrete difference. About the Position In your role as unit manager for the systems unit within the Army Materiel operations area, you will be responsible for leading and developing the unit's operations, from tomorrow's needs to today's deliveries. The unit brings together technical design leadership, quality management, and research and development for the Army Materiel operations area. Together with your employees, you create the right conditions to achieve set goals, use resources effectively, and ensure that the right expertise is in place. You lead the unit and drive operational and change initiatives with a focus on long-term results. In this role, you have personnel, workplace environment, budget, and operational responsibility. You represent your area of responsibility and build relationships both internally and externally. You report to the Head of Systems Leadership. This is a role for you who wants to combine close leadership with the opportunity to influence both the unit's direction and Sweden's defense capabilities. The position is based in Stockholm. Travel on business occurs. About You We are looking for someone with relevant technical education or equivalent competence acquired in other ways that we consider equivalent. You have current and relevant management experience that has included employee, budget, and results responsibility. To succeed in this role, it is necessary that you can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English. We would like to see that you have experience working with complex technical systems. If you have previous experience with international cooperation or relevant experience with customer and supplier relationships, we see that as an advantage. We view positively if you have worked within government administration (primarily defense and technology), the defense industry, or as a supplier to FMV, as well as if you have experience with materiel or service procurement for or within the Swedish Armed Forces.
