Bråbo Industri is seeking an experienced mechanical designer. Bråbo customizes and develops production equipment for industry. This involves special machines, fixtures, and technical adaptations developed from feasibility study to completed installation. About the role: You will become part of the mechanical engineering team and work closely with colleagues. You will be involved from the initial technical discussion through to installed equipment and customer follow-up. Your work will include: Feasibility studies and concept development 3D CAD design (primarily Solid) Large assemblies and manufacturing documentation Technical assessments regarding materials, tolerances, and strength Communication with customers, suppliers, and production Participation in assembly, testing, and commissioning Projects vary in scope and complexity. You will work on multiple assignments in parallel at different phases and are expected to independently drive your areas forward. Work is based at the office in Åby and at customer sites or manufacturing facilities in the region. You take technical responsibility for ensuring solutions work in practice – not just on paper. We are looking for someone who: Has several years of experience in mechanical design in an industrial environment Is experienced with 3D CAD Has worked closely with manufacturing, assembly, or workshops Has a good understanding of dimensioning, functionality, and practical constraints Is confident in technical discussions with customers Experience with machine safety and CE, as well as knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, or drive systems is a merit. Relevant engineering education in mechanical engineering is an advantage. You are fluent in Swedish in speech and writing and hold a valid driver's license (category B).
