Experienced Estimator for Four Tracks Project About the CompanyTrafikverket is responsible for some of Sweden's largest and most complex infrastructure projects. Within the Major Projects business area, societally important initiatives such as ERTMS, Norrbotniabanan, Förbifart Stockholm, Ostlänken, Västlänken, and Four Tracks Uppsala are being implemented. The operations are characterized by long-term thinking, quality, and a strong focus on delivering projects on time and within budget. About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced estimator for the Four Tracks Uppsala Program, one of Sweden's most important railway projects. The project includes the expansion of two new railway tracks between Stockholm and Uppsala, two new stations, and adaptation of existing facilities. As an estimator, you will work in the client organization with estimating and production planning for the program's two sub-projects. The assignment is conducted at 80-100% capacity and involves work at site offices in both Solna and Uppsala. Role and ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the program follows Trafikverket's approach to estimates and uncertainty analyses in the various phases of the project. Prepare materials and compilations of the program's total costs. Support project managers on estimating matters by preparing estimates and reviewing estimates from contractors. Contribute to the selection of technical solutions and production methods for upcoming contracts. Review and evaluate estimates and quantities for both projects. Ensure that experience and assessments are captured and utilized across different contracts. Work with the breakdown and structuring of estimates for effective management of contracts. Drive questions regarding estimate setup and delivery levels with suppliers. Monitor estimate compliance, quantity management, and selected production methods. Lead and participate in working forums, meetings, and other collaboration forums. Contribute to knowledge transfer to Trafikverket employees within the scope of the assignment. Competency Requirements 1. University degree in civil engineering or other education deemed equivalent and relevant. 2. At least 5 years of current experience with regular estimating in large and complex land, infrastructure, or foundation projects with contract sums exceeding 500 MSEK. 3. At least 3 years of experience with production planning in the production phase of large complex land, infrastructure, or foundation projects that included excavation, material handling, concrete, and foundation work. 4. Documented experience with estimating software such as MAP or equivalent system. 5. Excellent ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. 6. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office with particularly high competence in Excel. 7. Holds a valid category B driver's license. Additional Valuable Requirements 1. Experience from work in one or more railway projects. 2. Experience with Trafikverket's estimating process. 3. Documented experience leading working forums and meetings in a leadership capacity. 4. Strong communication skills and experience coordinating between different stakeholders. Assignment InformationAssignment Period: Initially 24 months with the possibility of extension up to five (5) years through successive option periods of one (1) year each. Scope: 80-100% of full-time. Physical presence at Trafikverket's office five days per week. Location: Solna and Uppsala, with work distributed between both offices. The assignment starts as soon as possible during October 2026.
