We at the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör District Administration are now looking for kitchen assistants for our Food Service Unit who want to work as needed and contribute to a safe and sustainable meal service for the neighborhood's elderly. Welcome to us The Food Service Unit has been run in-house within the district administration since March 1st. We prepare approximately 1,600 portions of food per day for elderly care in Enskede-Årsta-Vantör. The food is delivered to our care and residential facilities and as meal boxes to home care customers. We also have a restaurant operation where individuals can purchase lunch or meal boxes. Your role As a kitchen assistant, you're an important part of the kitchen and contribute to the operation running smoothly every day. You may work at different stations based on operational needs and your skills. With us, you can work as: Dishwasher You ensure that dishes, kitchen equipment and work surfaces are kept clean and in order. You handle dishes, clean the kitchen surfaces and manage waste and recycling. Packer You work with packing food and orders in a careful and efficient manner. You ensure that the right food goes to the right place and that orders are ready for delivery. Restaurant Assistant You help with the daily operations in the restaurant and kitchen. Tasks may include preparing and serving food, maintaining order in the restaurant and providing service to our guests. As a kitchen assistant, you need to be prepared to help where the need is greatest. We therefore hope that you're interested in learning all stations. You don't need to have experience in all areas from the beginning, but will receive introduction and training progressively. Your competence and experience We're looking for someone who is responsible, thorough and has good teamwork skills. You enjoy working at a fast pace and have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues. You're flexible and enjoy learning new tasks. Since you may work at different stations, it's important that you're curious about several aspects of kitchen work and are prepared to support where needed. You can communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing. It's very advantageous if you have experience working in a kitchen, restaurant or large-scale kitchen. Other information The employment is hourly-based where work is offered as needed. Working hours may be scheduled on both weekdays and weekends, depending on operational needs. The Food Service Unit is located at Åstorpsringen 28 in Enskededalen Selection and interviews may take place on an ongoing basis.
