We are now recruiting a unit manager/medical director for Medicine Operations at Alingsås Hospital. About Us Western Region Hospitals is a department within Västra Götalandsregionen and comprises Alingsås Hospital, Angered Community Hospital, Högsbo Community Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Together, we are approximately 3,000 employees who work every day to provide safe, accessible, and high-quality specialist care. Medicine Operations conducts activities at all four hospitals. At Alingsås Hospital, the operations include specialties in, among others, cardiology, diabetes, hematology, and gastroenterology as well as osteoporosis clinic, anticoagulation/thrombosis unit, endoscopy unit, three care wards, and internal medicine clinic. Within cardiology, there is also extensive clinical physiological activity where, among other things, stress ECG, echocardiography, long-term ECG, and pacemaker checks are performed. About the Position As a unit manager/medical director, you are the direct supervisor for the physicians in Medicine Operations at Alingsås Hospital, including specialist physicians, senior physicians, resident physicians, and junior physicians. You have overall responsibility for personnel, work environment, finances, and operations. Your duties include, among others: Daily leadership and management of operations Recruitment and competency supply Employee, development, and salary conversations Workplace meetings and collaboration Systematic work environment management Operational development and goal follow-up You work closely with other managers in Medicine Operations and actively contribute to the development of medical care. Together, you drive operations forward based on shared goals and patient needs. As a member of the operational area's management team, you contribute to a holistic perspective and to the development of both Medicine Operations and Western Region Hospitals. You report directly to the operational manager and also participate in hospital-wide forums and development initiatives. We conduct intensive development work including, among others, healthcare in the home. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Academic degree in a licensed profession Leadership experience in hospital care Documented good results in previous management positions It is meriting if you: Are a specialist physician in internal medicine or one of the operational area's specialist fields Have experience with management or leadership training Have worked with change management and operational development Who Are You?
