Social Services and Employment Description Social Services and Employment is reorganizing to enable the social services' work based on the intentions of the Social Services Act, activity requirements, and the upcoming comorbidity reform, as well as the needs of our residents! Work Tasks As we reorganize our operations, we are seeking two unit managers for the Adult Department at Social Services and Employment. Our two new units are called the Housing Unit and the Social Support Unit. Together with your colleagues in the management group for Adults and the staff within your unit, you will work on starting, building, and developing the units. The Housing Unit will handle authority functions and service delivery within all of the social services' housing matters such as Housing First, rental guarantees, housing social contracts, psychiatric housing, and outreach activities, etc. Authority functions regarding social psychiatry will also be part of the unit. In this position, you will have budget, personnel, and work environment responsibility for approximately 15 employees, who will consist of housing support workers, treatment assistants, and social workers. The Social Support Unit will work with social support for adults in the form of housing support, treatment activities, outreach activities, family member support, and support from nurses regarding health care and medical services, among other things. In this position, you will have budget, personnel, and work environment responsibility for approximately 14 employees, who will consist of housing support workers, addiction therapists, and nurses. Common to both positions is that in your role as unit manager, you will place great focus on internal and external collaboration. Important collaborators are the region, other parties in the municipality, real estate companies, and civil society. Our focus is to enable the social services' work based on the intentions of the Social Services Act and other changed legal requirements and the needs of our residents. We are driven to provide good support in both the short and long term to our residents. As a unit manager, you will lead and distribute work within the unit. You need to be able to support and inspire your employees and colleagues in the work of building something new while together preserving what is good. Internal collaboration will be a prioritized work task. You will be part of a team of four managers who belong to the management group for the adult department. In the adult department, in addition to the Social Support Unit and the Housing Unit, there is also the Unit for Financial and Social Assistance and Employment and Integration for Adults. We want close and good collaboration between our units and also with our colleagues in the Child and Youth Department. Qualifications For this position, we are seeking someone who has a degree in social work or similar education that the employer deems appropriate, as well as previous professional experience within social services. We would like you to have worked with systematic development work and with various forms of change work. If you have previously worked as a manager within social services, that is meriting but it is not a requirement. As a person, you are confident in your leadership style. You work goal-oriented, strategically, and have good analytical ability. You are clear in your communication and action-oriented. You dare to stand by decisions you have made and have the ability to make them understandable to your employees. You are positive, solution-focused, and see opportunities in collaborating with others. You are curious and see it as a matter of course to keep yourself updated and follow developments in social work. You need to have a Class B driver's license.
