Home care services in Örnsköldsviks municipality develops continuously to meet the needs of our users. We are now seeking three unit managers for home care in the areas of Anundsjö Västra, Gideå/Night patrol north, and Bjästa. Work Tasks Work as a unit manager involves representing the municipality as an employer and being responsible for work environment, operations, finances, and personnel. As a unit manager, you will be responsible for care workers/nursing assistants. Your tasks are to support, motivate, and develop your employees to together achieve quality, results, and set goals. You structure, plan, and organize your work independently. To support you in your work, you have your area manager, management support, colleagues within elderly care, and support functions such as an accountant, HR specialist, and payroll administrator. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge acquired through other management experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in leadership and change management is a merit. It is also advantageous if you have experience from municipal work or publicly controlled organizations and if you have good knowledge within the field of operations. As a unit manager with us, you get a key role where your competence and engagement make a real difference. You have good knowledge of economics and use it to create a sustainable and efficient operation. You are a leader who builds participation and collaboration and you do so with a genuine interest in people. We are looking for someone who has a solution-focused approach, courage to make decisions, and the ability to communicate clearly. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, have good computer skills, and feel comfortable with digital tools. You are also goal and results-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture in operations. A valid driver's license with at least B-category and access to your own car is a requirement. Approved documents are passport, international ID card, driver's license + ID certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or other ID documents that support citizenship. We would appreciate language skills in Finnish and/or one of the Sami varieties as Örnsköldsviks municipality is part of both Finnish and Sami administrative areas. In our municipality, a number of positions are placed in security class, so security vetting may be conducted.
