Welcome to us Support Services within the Social Administration is divided into seven areas with a common director of services and staff. Current areas include: Residential LSS 1 & 2, Personal Assistance, Social Psychiatry - Residential Support, Daily Activities, Resources, and Authority. We work with people with various disabilities of all ages and life situations. To Support Services, we are now seeking two committed unit managers who want to lead and develop residential services with special accommodation for adults. One position is located within the Residential LSS 1 area and is directed toward people with intellectual disabilities. The other position is located within the Social Psychiatry - Residential Support area and is directed toward people with mental or neuropsychiatric disabilities. Your new job As a unit manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and driving your operations and, through your employees, contributing to citizens being able to live a dignified life and experience well-being. You have responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and work environment, where development and improvement work are a natural part of your leadership role. You are responsible for leading and making decisions in various situations where the need for leadership may vary, depending on circumstances and individuals' needs. The role includes close cooperation and collaboration both internally and externally, with colleagues, teams, legal representatives, relatives, and other stakeholders around the citizens. The work is always based on citizens' needs – that is what we are here for. Organizationally, you report to the area manager and will be part of a management team with other unit managers. We are located in the Asecs area in Jönköping. In your work, you are supported by an HR consultant, recruitment consultant, staffing controller, unit administrator, economist, and your team. Your competence You have an academic degree of at least 180 credits with relevance to social services, such as a degree in social work or behavioral science, or you have another education that the employer considers equivalent. It is highly meriting to have experience as a manager or in a leadership position, particularly within the public sector. Desirable to have good knowledge of relevant legislation, the Social Services Act, and LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). To your advantage if you have experience in care and support work, particularly within support services. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken, written, and reading comprehension, as well as good computer skills. A B-category driver's license is meriting. We are looking for you as a clear and structured leader with a good ability to analyze and solve problems. You are flexible and adapt easily to changes, while creating security through an organized way of working. It is important that you have good collaboration skills and see the benefits of working in a team. You also have a good ability to drive both your own and your team's work toward lawful care and support of high quality. Start as soon as possible or by agreement. Working hours are during daytime, Monday to Friday with flexible working hours as the work allows.
