University Services provides essentially all support operations. The Finance and Procurement Department is one of nine departments within University Services with approximately 30 employees. As a unit manager in the Finance and Procurement Department, you will have a key role in translating this vision into practice by contributing to the institution's development. About the Role We are now seeking two unit managers for the Finance and Procurement Department. As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and monitoring operations within your unit. You actively contribute to the department's and institution's continued development. The work tasks are of both an operational and strategic nature. You report directly to the Finance Director and are organizationally placed within the Finance and Procurement Department. The Finance and Procurement Department is in a strong development phase, including the implementation of new system support. The roles are new and you will have the opportunity to help shape the institution's finance and procurement operations together with the Finance Director and staff. As a leader, you create conditions for employees to develop and perform through trust-based leadership. You are responsible for operations, personnel, and finances within your unit and ensure that work is conducted efficiently, with legal certainty, and with high quality. Unit Manager Controlling The unit is responsible for the institution's financial management, budget and forecast processes, and qualified support to management and operations in financial matters. Your main responsibilities include: Lead and develop the unit's work within financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring Coordinate and develop work with the institution's financial analyses and decision-making materials with a strong focus on Controlling Ensure appropriate processes and methods for financial analysis and reporting Provide qualified support to management and managers in strategic and financial matters Participate in and lead development projects within finance and operations development Unit Manager Accounting and Procurement The unit is responsible for the institution's accounting, financial statements and annual report processes, as well as procurement and purchasing-related matters. Your main responsibilities include: Lead and develop work within accounting, financial statements, annual reports, and external reporting Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal guidelines within the accounting field Manage and develop the institution's procurement and purchasing processes and provide support to operations in procurement and purchasing matters Drive development of procedures, processes, and systems within accounting and procurement About You We are looking for someone with an academic degree in a relevant field who thrives in a dynamic and changing environment. You have strong personal drive, analytical ability, and a solution-oriented approach that enables you to deliver results in line with set goals. To succeed in the role, you need to have: Strong ability to lead change and development work Experience driving processes and achieving results in collaboration with others Good analytical ability and a structured working approach Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities Good collaboration skills and ability to build trustworthy relationships and networks Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. For both roles, experience working at a higher education institution is advantageous. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
