1 position(s). The Adult Services Unit works with authority administration in the area of harmful use and addiction, as well as residential services for adults. We offer advice, support, and services that strengthen individuals' opportunities for a better life situation and increased independence. The activities include, among other things, social contracts, training residences, emergency housing, and work with residential social solutions, including approaches linked to Housing First. As a unit manager, you have a central role in creating a lawful operation, a good work environment for your employees, and professional treatment for those we serve. Work Tasks As a unit manager, you are responsible for operations, staff, work environment, finances, and union cooperation. You lead, direct, and develop the activities based on applicable legislation, the municipality's governance documents, and the social committee's goals. An important part of the assignment is to follow up and develop the activities and ensure lawful case handling. You are responsible for activities related to harmful use and addiction as well as residential services for adults. The assignment includes authority administration, support services, and development of working methods that contribute to increased independence and a long-term sustainable housing situation for the target group. The role includes representing the activities in court proceedings and presenting cases to the social committee. You collaborate closely both internally within the social administration and with other administrations in Luleå Municipality, as well as externally with, among others, healthcare, the Police Authority, housing actors, civil society, and associations to create the best possible support for the individual. The assignment involves working with cooperation partners to develop working methods in line with the new Social Services Act's focus on early, preventive, and easily accessible services, as well as preparing the activities for the comorbidity reform, where coordinated services and a cohesive care and support process are central for people with complex needs. An important part of the assignment is also to strengthen the individual's participation, own resources, and opportunities for independence, activity, and self-sufficiency. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience with authority administration within social services. You have good knowledge of social services' mission, relevant legislation, and services for adults with harmful use and addiction. You have a stable and secure leadership style where you create conditions for your employees to succeed. You have the ability to make well-founded decisions, even when circumstances change or you encounter different interests. Furthermore, you work in a structured manner and have a knack for planning, prioritizing, and adapting work based on the organization's needs. You have good cooperation skills and build trusting relationships both internally and externally. You cooperate professionally with different professional groups, relatives, and other actors to create the best conditions for the individual. It is advantageous if you have experience with management or leadership assignments within social services as well as a B driving license.
