About the job We are recruiting interim unit managers for the two units within the Information Service. The manager who has led both units will serve as interim legal director and department manager during a period. You will lead one of the two units within the Information Service. The Information Service answers questions and provides guidance about school regulations through various channels such as telephone, e-mail, and social media. Those who contact us include school principals, school leaders and other school staff, parents, media, and others with questions about schools. The Information Service also serves as experts at trade fairs and conferences and is responsible for the content on pages about responsibility in school matters on skolverket.se. Through our knowledge of how to engage with our target groups, we contribute to the Swedish National Agency for Education's other work. The Information Service units have 15 and 16 employees respectively and work together as one function. You are responsible for the unit's budget, results, operational planning, and for the unit's competence supply in both the short and long term. Together with your employees, the other Information Service unit, and with support from the Swedish National Agency for Education's processes, you develop the operations so that the unit's mission is carried out in the most appropriate and efficient way. You regularly follow up on the results of the unit's work. Your responsibilities also include representing the Swedish National Agency for Education externally and in media for your area. You are part of the management team for the Legal Department, where together with the department manager and the four other unit managers you contribute to the development of the department and the entire Swedish National Agency for Education. Read more at www.skolverket.se/jobb For this position you should have a law degree (juris kandidat), current experience as a team leader, coordinator, project manager, or similar in some form of qualified work at a government agency or other publicly governed organization, knowledge of the Swedish school system, very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. It is meritorious if you have management experience, experience leading development work, and experience answering questions from external target groups. As a person you need to be flexible, be able to adapt to new conditions, and have good ability to cooperate, have good self-awareness, be able to give and receive feedback, be good at listening and communicating clearly, have good judgment and be able to make well-considered decisions that take different perspectives into account. have good ability to take your own initiative, be able to drive work forward, and be solution-oriented. The positions are interim contracts starting immediately and for approximately 8 months, however at the latest until an ordinary department manager for the Legal Department is in position.
