About the Position As Unit Chief for Transport Aircraft and Training Systems, you will lead and develop operations responsible for meeting the Swedish Armed Forces' needs for materiel and materiel-related services within aircraft materiel system 84 for all readiness levels, as well as the new acquisition project C-390. The unit comprises 13 employees consisting of project managers, product managers, and systems engineers. Work is conducted in project form where employees with technical, commercial, economic, and other specialist expertise work integrally to deliver high quality, on time, and cost-effectively. You are responsible for operations, personnel, production, and finances, and actively work to develop both the operations and your employees. Through clear and trustworthy leadership, you create commitment, participation, and good conditions for the unit to reach its goals. The role also includes ensuring competency supply within the operational area, contributing to the management group's work, and collaborating with the Swedish Armed Forces, industry, and other parts of the agency. An important part of the position is actively participating in increasing the number of employees as the area is growing. In your role, you report to the Head of Transport and Special Aircraft Systems and are part of the department's management group. As a manager, you represent FMV's vision, goals, and values, and lead operations based on the agency's leadership principles. The position is based in Stockholm. Travel is a natural part of the position. About You We seek someone with relevant academic education or equivalent education/competency that we assess as equivalent. Additionally, you have education in management and leadership, such as FMV's management program, and project management training. You have experience leading qualified operations and express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. As a candidate, you also have experience with complex operations regarding coordination, planning, implementation, and follow-up of production and finances. It is a merit if you have experience with international collaborations and materiel procurement with knowledge of international operations and industrial issues. It is an advantage if you have experience with public procurement, as well as knowledge of the regulations governing the Swedish Armed Forces' aviation operations. We view favorably experience from the aviation field, FMV's way of working, and knowledge of aircraft system development. Finally, we would like you to have experience with Systems Engineering as well as knowledge of project management and design work.
