The Street Unit is in an exciting development phase where quality and operational development are the focus for creating and maintaining attractive urban environments. Our responsibility is broad and socially important - we are responsible for the municipality's streets, roads, bicycle paths, parks, playgrounds, and maintenance of municipally-owned bathing areas. The assignment also includes nature conservation, nature-based outdoor recreation, traffic and parking matters, handling of issues related to our harbors, boat spaces, squares, and flagging. Duties As Unit Manager for Traffic and Planning, you will become an important part of the Street Unit's management group. You have a central role in coordinating and driving administrative processes that span several parts of the operation. Together with the Operations Manager and three other Unit Managers within the Street Unit, you will develop and improve our common working methods. You serve as close administrative support to the Operations Manager and contribute to developing the operation's governance and follow-up - in a role where you make a real difference in daily work. The assignment includes personnel responsibility for approximately 10 employees within traffic, investments, vehicles, storage, and administration. You have overall responsibility for finances, work environment, and operations within your unit. No two days are alike here, and you thrive when switching between different issues and perspectives during the workday. Qualifications We are looking for you - a confident and structured leader with a strong ability to create order, drive development, and take initiative. Requirements: - Academic education in, for example, public administration, political science, urban planning, economics, or other education that the employer deems relevant, or equivalent experience - Experience with administrative work - Good ability to develop, analyze, and prepare decision-making materials Meritorious: - Experience from the public sector - Leadership experience - Knowledge of the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and GDPR - Experience with systems such as Stratsys, SiteVision, Raindance, Evolution, or Heroma You have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and structure your work, and to handle multiple parallel assignments without losing the overall perspective. You are responsible, flexible, and find it easy to create trusting collaborations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Terms In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection, which means interviews may be conducted before the application deadline expires.
