About Us
The Income Support Unit works with families and individuals who apply for financial assistance as support for their livelihood. We develop our activities together with others, internally and externally, to provide the best possible support to individuals so they can achieve self-sufficiency and independence. We provide information about rights and responsibilities and investigate entitlement to financial assistance.
Your Tasks
There are two unit managers for the Income Support Unit, each responsible for their own work team. You will therefore work closely with your colleague in Income Support as well as with other management colleagues within government administration with the task of coordinating interventions around the individual from a holistic perspective. As a unit manager, you have employer responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel. You have overall responsibility for ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the laws, regulations, and guidelines that govern the activities. Together with your employees, safety representatives, and management colleagues, you work continuously on workplace environment issues and maintaining a good work environment in the unit. The role also includes driving, planning, evaluating, analyzing, and developing the operational area to meet the needs of the target group and future challenges. You will have support functions available to you in areas such as finance, quality, and workplace environment. You participate in various steering groups and work groups linked to your assignment and have an important role in good collaboration with other units/activities both within and outside the municipality.
You will be part of the deputy operations manager's management group.
About You
We are looking for you who...
are educated as a social worker or have other equivalent education
have several years of experience in government administration work within social services
have previous experience working as a manager.
You are interested in both leadership and social work and prioritize citizen benefit. You have experience with change management. To succeed in the role, you are a present manager and a natural role model. You are responsive, well-organized, and have the ability to harness your employees' drive, resources, and willingness to develop. You build good relationships and trust by being clear and having a respectful approach where you create mutual trust with your employees. You place particular emphasis on a good collaboration climate both internally and externally, and you express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing. Great weight is placed on your personal qualities.
