Specialist Maternal Care is part of the Women's Health Service area where we have approximately 800 employees conducting both gynecological and obstetric operations. As part of Skåne University Hospital (Sus), we also have responsibilities in development, education, and conduct successful research within the service area. Our staff members have high expertise and we offer excellent opportunities for development and variety in your work. Our unit consists of several specialist clinics such as scheduled and acute specialist maternal care, ultrasound, blood flow, and social work services. The clinic receives pregnant women with complications during pregnancy and those at increased risk of developing complications. Blood flow examinations and ultrasound are performed to monitor how the pregnancy develops for both the mother and the baby. Our patients are in all stages of life with various health concerns and counseling needs, from teenagers to adults, pregnant women, those experiencing menopause, those with postoperative issues, or those seeking acute gynecological care. We operate during daytime hours Monday through Friday in both Malmö and Lund, with strong collaboration between the units. The clinic has midwives, nurse assistants, biomedical analysts, and a social worker. DUTIES We are now welcoming a unit manager to the specialist maternal care clinic in Lund! In your role, you are responsible for leading care and nursing within the unit to achieve good quality. As a unit manager with us, you have overall leadership responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances. Through present leadership, you work to make employees and their work visible and coach them to develop further. You ensure the unit's competence supply and work to promote a good work environment that encourages innovation. The position as unit manager also includes responsibility in the areas of environment, quality, and improvement work. Furthermore, you identify needs, plan, implement, and follow up on activities that contribute to the unit's short and long-term goals. As a manager leading employees, you take your operations in the expected direction toward operational goals. Your employees' engagement is crucial for success in your mission and you value coaching, providing feedback, evaluating performance, promoting collaboration, and creating a good work climate. Together with your employees, you develop the operation through effective methods with high quality and continuously follow up for learning and further development. You have employer and management responsibility that encompasses employees, operations, and finances. You are part of a unit manager group that works closely together and supports one another. In the role, you report to the area manager for obstetrics and are also part of a management group together with other unit managers, unit-responsible physicians, and the area and section managers, where we together drive operational issues both up and down the organization. QUALIFICATIONS To be suitable for this position, we see that you have a university or college education in health and medical care. A requirement for the position is that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language. Additionally, you have previous work experience as a leader. If you are a licensed midwife with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare, we consider that a plus, as well as if you have previous work experience in specialist maternal care.
