About Us To work even more effectively from Södra Älvsborgs Hospital's (SÄS) holistic perspective, an organizational change has been implemented. The staff area's task is to work from strategic and operational perspectives regarding appropriate administration, with all of SÄS as the client. As part of the whole, the staff works on continuous improvements to develop together with operations. To be responsive to operations' demands and needs, we need to think with a development orientation focusing on goals and results. The Planning and Business Development Unit is organized within the staff area. The unit's mission is to coordinate and drive projects and work that streamline work methods, implementation of new working methods, processes, or technical systems. The unit coordinates both regional and local innovation and digitalization projects. About the Position As unit manager, you are strategic support to the staff area manager and administration leadership in operational and strategic planning and development processes. In your role, you have overall responsibility for SÄS planning processes, business development, development and innovation work, and digitalization. You lead and coordinate SÄS long-term planning, major change projects, and ensure the hospital's representation in regional forums. You work closely with the staff area manager, hospital director, and other leading functions and have a broad network throughout the organization. You also collaborate with regional actors, authorities, and other healthcare providers. As unit manager, you have responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel, and the unit has approximately 15 employees in roles such as planning manager, systems developer, and development manager. About You We are looking for someone who has a relevant university or college degree and documented management experience from publicly-managed operations where you have had overall responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel. You are experienced in leading change and have experience in strategic leadership and governance. You have experience leading and coordinating operational and strategic planning and development processes as well as innovation work within the healthcare sector. Further, you have good experience working process- and project-focused and solid competence in change management and digitalization. We also see that you have experience leading projects and coordinating cross-functional processes. To succeed in this role, we see that you are a leader with strong communication skills and are skilled at building networks. You are driven to contribute to the whole, achieve results, and create value for the entire organization. You have strong analytical ability and can translate complex materials into insights that support long-term strategic planning. You are skilled at weighing different perspectives and making well-founded decisions that contribute to the organization's development and goals. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
