Are you a confident and clear leader who thrives in complex environments where structure, coordination, and good governance are essential? As an authority in the defense sector, we have a mission that is more important than ever – to ensure that the Swedish Armed Forces receive the materiel and capabilities required to strengthen Sweden's defense capabilities. About the Position The Logistics Business Area is in an expansive phase with new assignments, increased demands, and a rapidly growing organization. To meet this development, we are now strengthening our staff and establishing a new unit for planning and economics. The unit will play a central role in coordinating, supporting, and following up production management and economics within the business area. We are now seeking a manager who wants to build up and lead the new unit, develop working methods, and contribute to ensuring that the staff and departments work together toward our goals. With us, you will have a strategically important role where your leadership makes a concrete difference – for operations, for FMV's delivery capability, and for Sweden's security. As unit manager for planning and economics, you will have a central role in creating structure, coordination, and long-term governance throughout the entire logistics area. You will lead a newly established unit with approximately nine employees and be part of the management team. You are responsible for developing working methods, processes, and capabilities within planning, follow-up, resource management, and financial control, and will ensure both efficiency and quality in internal work and in the business area's overall production. The role includes leading the business area's budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up work, as well as ensuring quality in financial analyses and decision-making materials. You will follow up on resource utilization, manage deviations in dialogue with customers and internal stakeholders, and contribute to the development of internal controls and governance. You will also support operations on matters concerning contract follow-up and supplier management from financial and production perspectives. The staff at the Logistics Business Area supports the head of the business area in steering, coordinating, planning, and following up operations based on established goals. The work includes, among other things, overall planning, production follow-up, financial management, preparedness, security protection, resource management, HR coordination, export control, and internal communication. You will report to the staff manager and work in close collaboration with the producing departments within logistics as well as with the management and finance staff at the central level. As a manager, you represent FMV's vision, goals, and values and are your employees' most important communication channel. The position is located in Stockholm. About You We are seeking someone with several years of current and relevant management experience from a complex organization, where you have had overall responsibility for coordinating, planning, and following up operations, including budget and financial results. The role requires academic education in economics, industrial economics, business management, or another area relevant to the position. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. It is advantageous if you have experience with operations and financial follow-up in organizations with large financial turnover, particularly if you have performed qualified analytical work to support governance and decision-making. Experience from the public sector is valuable, as is experience leading change and development initiatives. We also view it positively if you have led specialists in economics and business management and have a good understanding of how different competencies work together to create cohesion in governance. If you have also worked in security-sensitive operations, that is advantageous. Personal qualities are very important to us, and we welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences. As a manager with us, you lead operations with clear direction and goal focus. You ensure that both short-term and long-term goals are achieved through structured work, accountability, and employee commitment. You build trusting relationships and promote an inclusive, respectful work environment where engagement, community, and diversity are central. With stability, courage, and integrity, you take responsibility for decisions and actions, lead with values in focus, and act with confidence even in challenging situations. Through strategic perspective, you prioritize and coordinate resources, drive improvements, and strengthen the authority's long-term development and credibility.
