Unit Manager for New Dementia Care Facility

We are now seeking a dedicated unit manager who wants to lead the startup of our new dementia care facility. Ljusdals kommun will open a new specialized residential facility for people with cognitive impairment in early 2027, and as unit manager you will have a unique opportunity to be involved from the ground up and build an operation where innovation becomes the guiding principle. As a unit manager in Ljusdals kommun, you will have work with varied responsibilities. You work in a team together with other unit managers. The position is within the elderly care operational area, Welfare Sector, as unit manager for a new residential facility for cognitive impairment with 24 places in Ljusdal. The role will, in addition to daily work and the tasks described below, involve recruiting staff and leading the planning during and before the opening planned for January 2027. Responsibilities You will be responsible for budget, personnel, work environment, and operational development. Skills development and values-based issues are natural elements in daily work. In collaboration with other staff members, you create an open climate with participation, engagement, and strive for quality improvement based on the Social Services Act. As a unit manager, you are responsible for planning operations based on applicable legislation and the municipality's goals and governing documents. You provide clear and close leadership characterized by collaboration, coordination, and development. Together with other managers, you drive operational matters from a holistic perspective. You lead, plan, inform, coordinate, and develop your operational area according to the Care Committee's goals in a flexible and cost-effective manner. Qualifications University degree that the employer considers relevant. Meritorious if you have experience with project management or previous startup of operations, as well as management experience.
