The National Cyber Security Centre, NCSC, is now seeking a Unit Chief to participate in building up the center's operations at FRA. Your Assignment
As a Unit Chief, you will work at NCSC and the Office for Operational and Technical Cyber Security. The office is responsible for operational cyber security to support society by preventing, detecting, and coordinating the response to IT incidents. The office's mission includes producing comprehensive situational pictures of adversarial cyber threats and IT incidents, providing technical advice and support to private and public actors, and maintaining a national situational awareness.
You will be part of the Operational Cyber Security Capability unit, which works with strategic initiatives, consulting, business development, project management, and collaboration.
As a Unit Chief at NCSC, you will lead your unit and collaborate within cyber security. Your main responsibilities include:
Providing staff with the right conditions through access to appropriate tools and information
Having overall responsibility for personnel, work environment, and budget
Developing and motivating your staff and being responsible for competency planning and development
Recruitment of personnel
Coordinating business development within the unit individually and in collaboration with other managers
Your Qualifications
We are seeking someone who has:
An academic degree in, for example, political science, computer science, or another relevant field, and/or equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience
At least 5 years of experience in a management position
Good knowledge of cyber security and the Office Suite
Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
We consider the following as merits:
Education in Leadership and Cyber Security
Previous experience in the cyber security field in a leadership position
Time reporting systems, accounting systems in general

The workplace is currently located in Tomteboda, Solna. Within a few years, new premises will be ready in Bergshamra. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves classification in a security class. A requirement for employment is a passed security vetting with register check. The security vetting will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be placed on war reserve.
