Unit Mission The National Assessment and Planning Department includes six units responsible for providing effective support to job seekers and employers. The department comprises just over 1,000 employees distributed across 12 locations. The current unit operates in Malmö and Karlskrona and consists of approximately 250 employees divided into 16 sections. We meet new job seekers for initial assessment and planning. We are responsible for providing effective support to job seekers with little or no support needs and bear overall responsibility for employers with no, limited, or certain support needs. This means we not only meet them by phone or in digital services—we bear full responsibility for delivering support that moves them forward. We offer user-friendly digital services that enable both job seekers and employers to handle most tasks quickly and easily on their own. We meet everyone with clarity, focus, and commitment. Position Description As Unit Manager, you hold overall responsibility for operations, budget, and personnel. You lead the unit toward established goals and ensure that results, quality, and experience for job seekers and employers maintain the highest level. You are part of the department's management team and work closely with the department head and other unit managers to drive the entire department's development. Your mission is to: Drive results through clear goals, follow-up, and continuous improvement work Create engagement through inspiration, dialogue, and participation Develop leaders by coaching and creating conditions for section managers to succeed in their roles Build a trusting culture characterized by openness, security, and accountability Collaborate effectively internally and externally, including with safety representatives and labor unions As a person, you have a strong results focus and strive to create value for job seekers and employers. You are clear and inspiring in your communication and can clearly describe the vision and why the mission is important. You have experience leading in complex and changing organizations and have an interest in societal issues where you understand how our activities contribute to a larger context. More About Working With Us Basic Requirements for the Position At least one year of current experience as a manager with operational and personnel responsibility At least five years of work experience in complex operations that work with digital incoming channels, such as incoming telephone services Additional Merits for the Position Experience with labor market issues and labor policy assignments Experience working as a manager in the public sector and strong experience with government administration Well-versed in working with both job seekers and employers within the Swedish Public Employment Service At least one year of current experience managing other managers The state value foundation guides us in our daily work.
