Unit Manager for LSS Residential Facilities in Southwest

Description Do you have experience working as a manager in LSS/care and health services? Have you worked as a manager in municipal operations? We are now seeking a unit manager for two LSS residential facilities in southwest Gothenburg – Verktumsgatan 20 and Tuppfjätsgatan 16. You will be responsible for approximately 20–25 employees and lead operations for individuals with acquired brain injury and neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD). Following expansion at Tuppfjätsgatan 16 in the fall, the facility will serve 15 residents. We work based on individual resident needs, with a focus on care, rehabilitation, and motivational support. A clear focus of the operations is to create meaningful daily activities that promote participation, independence, and quality of life for residents. As unit manager, you will oversee two facilities located close to each other, which facilitates collaboration and provides good opportunities to be present in daily operations. The role also includes close collaboration with the health and medical care team (HSL). About the Role: The units at Verktumsgatan and Tuppfjätsgatan are two LSS residential facilities that need present and secure leadership. As unit manager, you play a central role in developing and shaping operations going forward. You must focus on meeting the many needs of the residents and ensure staff competence. Your focus should also be on matters related to the work environment. As a manager, you must work toward good collaboration within the staff group. Your leadership needs to be present, clear, and responsive, with a focus on creating a sustainable work climate and strengthening trust in operations. As unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and quality at the unit. To support your work, you will have a support educator who assists staff in pedagogical work and also supports the manager with staffing matters. You will become part of an engaged and cohesive management team with other unit managers, method developers, and staffing coordinators. You will work in close dialogue with your management colleagues, but also with the operations manager, HR, and support functions. Collaboration, dialogue, and care are in focus. We are looking for you – a secure and experienced manager in LSS/care and health services who thrives when your leadership makes a difference. You have: Relevant higher education of at least 3 years. For example, as a registered nurse, social worker, behavioral scientist, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. At least 1 year of experience working as a unit manager in care and health services, LSS, or similar operations – preferably in the municipal sector. Good knowledge in areas governed by the following laws: SoL (Social Services Act), LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and/or HSL (Health and Medical Services Act). It is meritorious if you have experience leading groups through change and if you have worked systematically with work environment initiatives and improvement work. It is also an advantage if you have experience with individuals with acquired brain injury and NPD diagnoses. You create conditions for your staff to succeed in their assignments through positive feedback combined with clarity and structure. You can balance a professional approach with warmth and engagement.
