Katrineholm Municipality is embarking on an exciting initiative where a new reuse facility is being established in new and recycled premises in the Lövåsen commercial area. The operation will play an important role in the municipality's work for both social and environmental sustainability. Here, building materials, furniture, and other second-hand items are received, sorted, repaired, refurbished, and resold for continued use. A café operation is also planned for the area. The operation is run by engaged employees together with participants who, through labor market initiatives, develop their skills, gain work experience, and strengthen their opportunities to move on to studies or work. The role also includes responsibility for the municipality's internal reuse operation Bytestorget, where office furniture and equipment are reused; Fritidsbanken, where sports and leisure equipment is lent free of charge to residents; and Gröna Linjen Environment & Language Team, where participants develop their work and study prospects through environmental initiatives and language training. The operations are conducted at different locations in the municipality and are part of the new unit Katrineholm Återbruk. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a unit manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the operation. You have responsibility for activities, personnel, and finances, as well as ensuring good quality, efficiency, and sustainability. The role also includes developing the operation's role as a provider of labor market initiatives and creating conditions for internships, work training, and vocational introduction. You create structure, routines, and ways of working and set the direction for the operation's development. One of your most important tasks will be to unite the different parts of the operation and create a common direction. You build a culture characterized by trust, participation, and pride, while ensuring professionalism and high quality. You will collaborate with several different actors both internally and externally to develop the operation and build confidence among residents, customers, and partners. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in a relevant field, or alternatively experience that the employer deems equivalent. We also see that you have previous experience in a managerial or supervisory position with responsibility for personnel, operations, and finances. Experience in leadership within the public sector and politically governed operations is a merit. You have good knowledge in occupational safety. Experience working with people who are far from the labor market or who participate in labor market initiatives, internships, or work training is highly desirable. We would appreciate it if you have an understanding of the opportunities and challenges that exist in operations with both social and environmental sustainability goals. A B-category driver's license is a requirement for the position. To succeed in this role, you need to be structured and have the ability to build efficient work methods and routines in a developing operation. You are used to collaborating with different actors and see the value of good relationships and cooperation. You have the ability to create engagement, build trust, and unite groups toward common goals. With clarity and responsiveness, you can make decisions, set boundaries when needed, and at the same time motivate and inspire your employees. You are a person who builds trust through clear and present leadership. You have good collaboration skills, work in a structured manner, and find it easy to communicate and build relationships. You have a genuine commitment to both people and sustainability issues and see opportunities in developing operations that contribute to a more sustainable society. Salary form: Monthly salary.
