We are now seeking a unit manager for the Care Administration's finance unit! The Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, LSS (disability services), and social psychiatry and is the municipality's second-largest administration with a budget of approximately 1,400 million SEK. The Care Administration currently employs approximately 1,900 staff, and our most common professions are nursing assistants/care aides, care assistants, unit managers, benefits caseworkers, and registered nurses. We continuously work to develop our working methods to ensure financial management that meets future demands for quality and efficiency. Job Responsibilities The position is a shared role where you combine the assignment as administration controller with responsibility as unit manager. In both functions, you are part of the Care Administration's management group and have a central role in the administration's strategic development. As administration controller, you coordinate, together with the administration director, the administration's overall financial work. You are responsible for budgets, annual accounts, monthly follow-ups, and annual and interim reports to the Care Committee. The work has a clear strategic orientation where you contribute with long-term analyses, financial forecasts, and qualified calculations linked to the services provided by the administration. An important part of the assignment is to lead the work of identifying, analyzing, and implementing efficiency improvements from an economic perspective as well as to continue developing and adapting the finance organization based on operational needs. You communicate financial planning to the administration's various operations and are expected to be able to explain economic contexts in a pedagogical manner to managers, employees, politicians, and citizens. The role also includes internal collaboration with other administrations and external contacts with, for example, public agencies. In your role as unit manager, you lead and distribute work within the finance team, which consists of five employees. You have budget and personnel responsibility as well as responsibility for systematic occupational health and safety work. Together with your team, you work to ensure quality and operationally close financial support to the entire administration. In total, this is a strategic and operational key role where you combine qualified controller work with clear leadership and responsibility for developing both finance and organization in line with operational needs. Qualifications The role requires Higher education or university degree in economics Strong ability and experience working with accounting and budgeting work at an overall level Several years of experience with qualified financial work in a larger organization Experience in a leadership role Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is communicative and finds it easy to create good relationships and collaborations, both within and outside your own organization. You can clearly and pedagogically convey economic contexts and create understanding for decisions and prioritizations among managers, employees, politicians, and other collaborators. You work in a structured manner and have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and drive work forward. At the same time, you are analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to see connections and find sustainable solutions that contribute to operational development. You thrive in change work and are motivated by developing working methods and processes to meet future needs, always with the organization's mission and long-term sustainability in focus. Meritorious Qualifications Experience in management Experience with qualified financial work in the public sector Terms of Employment Permanent full-time position starting by agreement.
