At the Development Office, we have an important role in developing and building the capital. We work with many of Sweden's most interesting and high-profile urban development projects. The Development Office is one of the city's departments and reports to the Development Board. We are responsible for, among other things, development and management of the city's land, development for residential and business areas, and the city's investments in streets and parks in development projects. To the Finance Department of the Development Office, we are now seeking an engaged unit manager for our project unit. As a unit manager with us, you will work with business development, financial management, and our investment portfolio. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to influence, develop, and drive efficient financial processes that make a difference – both for our core operations and for our internal specialist and support departments. Our Finance Department consists of 19 employees, divided into two units: the Project Unit and the Operations Unit. As unit manager for the project unit, you will become part of the department's management team, where together with the Finance Manager and the Operations Unit Manager, you drive development forward. The Finance Department has a central role within the Development Office with responsibilities within the budget, financial statements, forecast, and accounting processes, as well as ensuring these processes function properly. The department also assists the business with other financial expertise such as calculation and investment matters. In addition, the department is responsible for overall financial analysis, follow-up and reporting, as well as principles and regulations within accounting and VAT. The Development Office manages an annual investment budget of approximately 3.5 billion kronor where the business works with large and socially important investment projects. Your role also involves supporting the business with strategic financial advice and ensuring that our regulations and principles are followed. Your Role As unit manager for the project unit, you are responsible for a team of eight employees and lead, develop, and motivate your employees to ensure that the business achieves its goals. You create a pleasant and developing work environment and ensure that employees have the conditions they need to perform. In this role, you report to the Finance Manager and you also work closely with the Operations Unit Manager and other financial professionals. Your main tasks and responsibilities also include business development, where you drive and improve procedures, reports, and processes, as well as: • financial management of the unit through budget, operational planning, and resource planning • follow-up and analysis of financial results to ensure efficient and sustainable finances • analyses, follow-up, and financial reporting of investment projects • identification of areas for improvement and implementation of changes that strengthen the business's efficiency and quality • assist the business with financial expertise in areas such as bookkeeping, accounting, VAT, budget and forecasts, and ensure that financial processes work optimally based on the business's needs. In this role, you work with our financial system Agresso and Hypergene, which is a planning tool for budget and forecast. Your Competence and Experience For the role of unit manager, we are looking for you who have at least seven years of experience in qualified financial work with good knowledge of financial management, accounting, budget, follow-up, and current legislation, as well as: • several years of management and leadership experience with personnel and budget responsibility • experience working with investment projects and fixed assets and competence in/experience of regulations within investment accounting for fixed assets • relevant higher education/university education in finance • very good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
