This position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date is by agreement, and individual salary setting applies. Your profile We are looking for someone who has: Relevant higher education of at least 180 credits within, for example, social work, healthcare, care, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience in management or leadership positions. Good knowledge of elderly care legislation and governance. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Good digital competence. A driver's license is a merit. It is an advantage if you have experience in change management, work in special housing, and municipal operations. You see opportunities in development, have a holistic perspective, and enjoy collaborating to achieve common goals. You are communicative and attentive and have the ability to create engagement among staff while making well-founded decisions. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. At Leksand Municipality, we value leadership highly and have therefore defined three management competencies that we consider crucial for success as a manager with us: Goal-oriented – You take responsibility for the whole, set direction, and lead toward clear goals. You create structure and drive the work forward so that we achieve results that make a difference. Collaboration – You build trust, promote open dialogue, and create engagement. Through collaboration and good relationships, you strengthen the operations both internally and externally. Courageous – You lead with judgment and decisiveness, dare to make decisions even in challenging situations, and create security by being clear and consistent. These competencies have been developed specifically for our managers at Leksand Municipality and form the basis for present and developmental leadership. About the workplace Edshult is one of Leksand Municipality's special housing facilities and is facing a comprehensive development journey through an upcoming renovation. To create good conditions for both operations and staff, we are now strengthening the management organization with a fourth unit manager. As a unit manager, you also have support from the operations' quality roles. They function as the manager's extended arm in the daily quality work in the departments and contribute to developing working methods, following up on routines, supporting colleagues, and strengthening person-centered care. This gives you as a manager better opportunities to work strategically, follow operations closely, and at the same time focus on leadership, development, and staff. What we offer you For us, it is important that all our employees find a balance between work and home, feel secure in their employment, and experience increased quality of life by working in the municipality. If we succeed with that, there are good conditions to also succeed with our shared task, which is: We do what we should by taking shared responsibility for our democratic mission, using our resources wisely, and always keeping our focus on those we are here to serve. We do it well and are proud of our work and the results we achieve, and we welcome engaged and courageous employees who want to develop and improve together with us. We do it together by collaborating and learning from each other. Dialogue is important to us, and we find new solutions together with those we are here to serve, with trust, care, and respect. We strive for a health-promoting work climate, job satisfaction, community, and personal development. Competence development is a given, and we encourage our employees to further develop through courses, training, and networking. We want to give our managers good conditions to actually be managers. Therefore, we actively work to create sustainable leadership and have in recent years developed managers' organizational conditions with the support of Chefoskopet.
