Our workplace and the exciting journey ahead
Individual and Family Services (IFO) in Ludvika has approximately 120 wonderful employees. To meet the demands of the world around us and to create an even better and more sustainable work environment, we are now making an exciting reorganization. Starting in September, we are bringing together the entire child services side into one strong, unified unit.
Here you will find functions for intake, investigations, support services, placed children, and family law. Our strength is the short path to decisions, our proximity to one another, and a culture where we collaborate with the client's best interests in focus.
Shared and sustainable leadership: To provide the organization with the best conditions, the unit will be led by two unit managers in a close partnership, supported by four skilled supervisors (Senior Social Workers). As one of our current unit managers is moving on to another role within the organization, we are now seeking her successor.
Your role as Unit Manager
Together with your unit manager colleague, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and coordinating operations for approximately 33 employees. You will share responsibility for personnel, budget, and quality, and become the key to continuing to build a safe and developmental work environment.
In this role, you will:
Drive both operational and strategic matters to meet tomorrow's needs in child and youth care.
Create favorable conditions for employees by leveraging their expertise, commitment, and creativity.
Participate in IFO's management group where you, together with the operations manager and other unit managers, actively contribute to the entire department's development.
Foster and develop collaboration with external and internal partners.
Required qualifications for the role
Degree in Social Work
Many years of experience working with government authority functions in IFO, with particular focus on children and families
Good knowledge of and being up-to-date on the legislation governing the operations
Good knowledge of the Swedish language and strong ability to express yourself well in speech and writing
Driver's license Category B
It is meritorious if you have
Experience working as a manager with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility

As a person, you are secure and stable and have very good communication and collaboration skills. You find it easy to build and maintain good relationships with both colleagues and external partners. Since we are in a development phase, we see that you are flexible, can adapt to changing circumstances, and see opportunities in change. You take initiative, have a holistic perspective, and make decisions that benefit the entire organization's best interests. We place great importance on personal suitability.
