The unit employs benefits and LSS case handlers, senior case handlers, fee handlers, and family support staff, totaling 12 employees. It is a stable work group and we are well staffed. We investigate the right to support and care according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities, we are responsible for fee handling for elderly care, and we offer various types of support to family members. The unit collaborates with many different actors both internally and externally. The Social Services Administration consists of approximately 600 employees where the breadth of the mandate is extensive. The administration is divided into five operational areas: home care, residential care, IFO, support & services, and Health Care Support. The administration is responsible for providing care and support, services, and healthcare to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life. A day as Unit Manager for the Benefits Unit You are a present manager for a close-knit work group that helps and supports each other in daily work. In the unit and in the operation, we collaborate with many internal and external partners. You have a central role to manage, lead, and support the employees. Your work includes planning, leading, implementing, following up, and quality assuring the operations in accordance with applicable legislation and guidelines. You have overall responsibility for your unit, which means you have budget, personnel, and work environment responsibility. You initiate and drive development issues within your unit in close collaboration with your colleagues and other professionals within the social services administration. Together with other managers, you are responsible for and promote the development of the entire operation to meet the needs of the external environment and the authority's mission. As manager of the Benefits Unit, you will sit in the management group for the Health Care Support operational area, where you will receive support from colleague managers and support functions. The Operations Manager will be your direct manager. The operation consists of a total of approximately 60 employees: nurses, assistant nurses, rehabilitation staff, dietitian, and vision and hearing representatives. You will be the direct manager for 12 employees. The operation's vision is: "Together we create an operation with work joy and citizen focus, where we every day take steps forward to strengthen health, independence, and security in Krokom Municipality" Your competence We are looking for someone who: - Has a degree in social work or other university education that is assessed as equivalent by the employer - Has experience in government authority work within care and services, well versed in the Social Services Act and LSS - Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing - B-class driver's license Meriting factors: - Previous management experience - Management or leadership training - Knowledge/experience in work environment, economics, change management, and relevant legislation - Knowledge/experience in Close Care As a person, you are: - Independent, flexible, receptive, and build trust - See the bigger picture of the entire operation/organization and you need to be excellent at collaboration - Confident in your role as manager/leader - Ability to work systematically with follow-up, quality, and operational development - Ability to create good relationships and build trust We consider personal suitability for the assignment as important, and in the recruitment process we will focus particularly on your ability to support and guide staff in their assignments, create security and participation, inspire and motivate.
