About Us The Emergency Care operational area encompasses emergency departments, ambulance services, and patient transfer stations in Alingsås and Kungälv. We are approximately 300 people together. The ambulance service in Kungälv has about 60 employees and consists of ambulance stations located in Kungälv, Ale, Stenungsund, and on Tjörn. About the Position As a unit manager for the ambulance service, you will work in a shared leadership model and will collaborate closely with other unit managers within the operational area. Together, you will lead and develop the unit toward established goals. You and your management colleagues create a sense of security and promote a collaborative climate based on openness, respect, and inclusivity. Together, you develop both internal and external collaboration. You will be present and visible in the operations and work to utilize and develop your employees' unique competencies and foster their participation in the operations. As a unit manager, you and your management colleague share overall responsibility for personnel, work environment, operations, and finances. You participate in the operational area's management team where you contribute to the overall emergency care operations and support each other in your respective tasks, working together for the entire operational area and for Hospitals in the West. As a unit manager, you report directly to the operations manager. You will also receive support from an operations developer, HR specialist, and controller. Regional engagement may be relevant as ambulance services within the region collaborate extensively. On-call duty, AIB (on-call ambulance manager), is part of the position and applies to both Kungälv and Alingsås. About You We are looking for someone with appropriate education within healthcare for this role. You should have experience from a previous management position. You have strong leadership qualities, analytical abilities, and a structured approach to work. Experience from ambulance or emergency services is a merit. We view it positively if you have completed leadership training through Västra Götalandsregionen's management candidate program or completed other management and/or leadership training. A B-category driver's license is required for this position; a C1 driver's license is considered a merit. Great weight will be placed on personal leadership qualities, collaboration skills, personal suitability, and social competence. Terms The position is a 12-month temporary contract.
