Unit Manager for Elderly Care, Temporary Position

We are now seeking temporary unit managers for elderly care area 2 who want to drive the operation forward. Your New Job The operation is based on elderly care's value foundation: Social services' care for the elderly shall be aimed at enabling elderly persons to live a dignified life and feel well-being (SoL 5 kap 4§). As a unit manager, you are responsible for the elderly care facility together with your management colleague, where you have the task of leading and driving the operation. Through your work, you create conditions for your employees to contribute to enabling our residents to live a dignified life and feel well-being. You have operational, financial, personnel, and work environment responsibility. Development and improvement work is also a natural part of your leadership role, and you follow up on the work to ensure the quality of the operation. Organizationally, you report to the area manager and in your work you have support from an HR consultant, recruitment consultant, and accountant. You are clear in your leadership, which requires courage, and courage creates the conditions for clarity. These aspects are closely interwoven for leadership to succeed. You promote collegial learning, openness, and team building, and you show trust in your employees. Furthermore, you set clear boundaries and delegate authority, and you create conditions for a good work environment and robust collaboration culture by actively working for participation, influence, and openness in the workplace. As a unit manager in elderly care, you work on-site at the facility. Your Expertise We are seeking someone with a completed and approved university or college degree of at least 180 hp in social work, behavioral science, HR, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience from a management position, politically governed organization, and municipal operations is meritorious. As a unit manager, you are present, confident, and trustworthy. You have an interest in driving processes and the operation's development forward, and you do this among other things by leading and providing others with the authority needed to reach common goals. You work in a structured manner and are clear in your communication and actions, and you can make difficult decisions when the situation requires it. You see the value in being close to your employees in their daily work and believe in participation and good collaboration as fundamental to a functioning work team. Furthermore, you also see great benefits in close collaboration with your management colleagues, both in your own unit but also throughout the entire elderly care area. Your leadership is characterized by presence, responsiveness, participation, and commitment. Elderly care area two currently consists of 18 management colleagues distributed across seven facilities. Good to Know The recruitment concerns two temporary parental leave substitute positions within elderly care area 2, with start and end dates according to agreement. Assessment tools will be applied. Interviews for the position will be held in the morning of September 1st and afternoon of September 2nd. The temporary positions apply to the following facilities: Dundrets Elderly Care Home is centrally located in Jönköping with proximity to both Munksjöbron and Östra Kajen. The elderly care home is a full-service facility consisting of 41 apartments distributed across four units, where one of the units is a short-term care unit with a focus on rehabilitation. Kålgården Elderly Care Home is an elderly care home with home care services. The facility is centrally located in Jönköping with proximity to both Munksjöbron and Östra Kajen. The elderly care home is divided into 3 units and consists of 49 apartments, of which four are two-room units. The position of unit manager is job evaluated and is placed in base group J.
