The Academic Specialist Center is Region Stockholm's initiative to bring together highly specialized care for chronic diseases outside acute hospitals. The Center for Obesity, which is part of the Academic Specialist Center, is a multidisciplinary and well-established operation that serves patients with severe obesity. We are a regional competence center with a mandate to provide high-quality care, drive development, and disseminate knowledge about obesity to other healthcare providers. As unit manager, you have overall responsibility for: - operations, employees, working environment, and finances within the unit - leading, planning, and monitoring operations based on mandate, goals, and quality requirements - working together with employees to develop working methods that strengthen patient safety and quality - promoting a good and health-promoting work environment and active employee engagement - ensuring collaboration with internal and external partners You are part of the management group for the operations together with unit managers for other units within the Academic Specialist Center and report directly to the operations manager. Work Tasks: As unit manager, you provide close and engaged leadership with frequent contact with employees in daily work. Obesity care is constantly evolving, and you play a central role in working with the employee group to develop smart, efficient, and sustainable working methods and adapt operations based on current conditions and needs. We work systematically with quality, patient safety, working environment, and efficient care flows. Finding new working methods and continuously improving care is a natural part of our mission and daily work. Qualifications: We seek someone who is licensed within a health and medical profession. Experience working with obesity is required. It is advantageous if you have experience in obesity care at the specialist level and in a leadership role. Our unit is a competence center for obesity treatment in Region Stockholm. We continuously develop new working methods that we share with other operations. It is advantageous if you have experience in driving improvement work and in training other healthcare providers in the field of obesity. You have the ability to see solutions where others see obstacles and are attentive with strong ability to build trust and establish relationships both internally and externally. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Employment Terms: You are offered a permanent employment in your base profession. The assignment as unit manager is a limited-term management delegation. A probationary period may be applied.
