The Social Services Department is responsible for measures, support and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our activities are governed primarily by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act and the Health and Medical Care Act and shall implement measures regulated by these laws. All activities are characterized by the individual at the centre to meet the individual's needs. The assignment involves significant customer focus and service spirit.

JOB DUTIES

We are looking for an engaged and development-oriented unit manager for one of our special housing facilities for the elderly in Motala municipality. With us you get the opportunity to combine close leadership with responsibility for operations, quality, employees, finances and working environment.
As a unit manager, you have an important role in creating conditions for safe, dignified and high-quality care for our residents. You lead the operation together with engaged employees and work actively with development, quality and improvement work.
You become part of a management team of three unit managers who together are responsible for one of Motala municipality's special housing facilities. There are good opportunities for collaboration, experience exchange and collegial support. We believe in the power of leading together.
Job Duties
As a unit manager, you are responsible for operations, personnel, finances and working environment in your area. You work closely with employees, residents, relatives and colleagues within the Social Services Department.
The assignment includes, among other things:
• Ensure good and sustainable staffing
• Lead, develop and support employees in daily work
• Ensure that operations are conducted with high quality and in accordance with legislation and objectives
• Work systematically with working environment, quality development and follow-up
• Drive development and improvement work
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Qualifications:
• You have higher education in social work or other education deemed appropriate by the employer
• It is an advantage to have previous experience of management or leadership
• It is an advantage to have previous experience of working in special housing for the elderly.
