JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As Manager of the Safety and Occupational Health Unit, you'll have a central role in leading, developing, and monitoring operations within safety, security, occupational health, and preparedness in the water and wastewater department. You're responsible for planning and prioritizing assignments, goals, and resources, ensuring that processes and working methods are appropriate and quality-assured, and driving improvement and development initiatives. The role involves strategic, tactical, and operational work where you actively participate in the area's management group, collaborate with other units, and represent the water and wastewater department in internal and external forums.
You're responsible for implementing and monitoring legal requirements and internal guidelines, supporting employees and managers, and fostering a good work environment and a strong safety culture. In this role, you report to the Area Manager and lead operations together with two team leaders within safety and occupational health, where you collectively drive development and results. The Safety and Occupational Health Unit is growing and currently consists of about ten employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, we'd like you to have:
• Experience in safety, security, and preparedness
• Experience leading operations with responsibility for employees, occupational health, and budget, as well as developing teams and achieving results
• Relevant post-secondary education
• Category B driver's license
• Swedish language proficiency (written and spoken), Swedish citizenship
In addition, you're a clear and engaging leader who can develop operations within the unit's mission. You have strong strategic and analytical abilities, see the bigger picture, and can translate insights into clear directions and concrete activities. You have the willingness and ability to quickly master new areas and create results together with your team.
It's also important that you're development-oriented and can drive improvements forward, while having strong planning skills to manage both long-term strategies and operational priorities. We're looking for someone with the ability to collaborate closely with other managers and employees, and to communicate clearly and engagingly.

The position is based at our headquarters in Ulvsunda, but you'll also move between our facilities in Henriksdal, Bromma, Lovö, and Norsborg, as well as water distribution facilities. Company cars are available.
