We plan, build, develop, and manage facilities where hundreds of thousands of Gothenburg residents go to school, work, receive care and support, or access city services every day. Duties The Projects and Investment Division carries out new construction, renovation, and maintenance projects to meet the city's needs for schools, preschools, elderly care facilities, and housing with special services. The division is in an expansion phase with a planned annual project volume of up to three billion kronor. Together with other administrations, we create the conditions for an attractive, competitive, and sustainably viable city. This fall, the administration will move to Traktören on Köpmansgatan in central Gothenburg. The modern facilities create excellent conditions for collaboration, development, and close management. Several of the city's urban development administrations will also be located here, which strengthens cooperation and contributes to more cohesive work for Gothenburg's development. The business area focuses on housing and strategic properties. We are responsible for care and support housing, housing with special services, and strategic operational facilities, including office rentals, facilities on the city's developed land reserves, and facilities that strengthen the city's crisis preparedness. We are now looking for a unit manager for the Project Management Housing and Strategic Properties 3 unit. The unit consists of project managers who drive and monitor projects throughout the entire process. As a unit manager, you lead and develop the business together with your employees. You have a central role in creating favorable conditions for successful projects, effective cooperation, and a sustainable work environment. Your role includes: having personnel, work environment, and budget responsibility for the unit creating conditions for a good, sustainable, and healthy work environment leading the business toward established goals within defined financial frameworks having ownership of projects and assignments representing the client in matters concerning contracted and consulting services following up on and developing processes and completed projects participating in the business area's management group and the division's management team responsible for the unit's communication and environmental monitoring cooperating with other administrations in connection with project implementation translating the business's goals into clear and traceable activities together with the unit Qualifications We are looking for someone with a university or college degree of at least 180 higher education credits in community development or a comparable field. For this position, you must have: experience with personnel, work environment, and budget responsibility experience with culture and values-based work experience with a development and process-oriented approach experience leading managers or specialists relevant experience from the community development sector and its various stages, including construction project management experience with change management and leading during change experience with project financial management good knowledge of contract law good knowledge of construction site safety good knowledge of public procurement regulations (LOU) knowledge of union cooperation and labor legislation. It is advantageous if you have: completed leadership training or have experience with developmental leadership experience with housing projects in community development experience with project management methodologies experience working in public operations or politically managed organizations experience with contract negotiations and outsourcing We are looking for an engaged and coaching leader with strong communication skills.
