We are now looking for a unit manager who wants to take a key role in the development of central Gothenburg. <img src="https://sae3ndp007.blob.core.windows.net/swe/b0c49144-4a4e-4b83-877b-91d6afe990eb.jpg"> About the role As Unit Manager for Programs and Plans in the Real Estate Development department, you have overall responsibility for the company's major investment projects in early stages, from program work to planning processes. The role combines strategic responsibility with operational work. You manage four employees who lead the unit's projects and investigations. Projects vary over time. The assignment involves real estate development and various investigation needs within our land areas as well as participation in the city's program and detailed planning work based on our role as property owner. You report to the department manager and also to the company's steering group for our investment projects, which the CEO leads. Your main areas of responsibility: The company faces extensive investment projects in early stages, including within Lindholmen, Frihamnen and Eriksberg. You will be the catalyst and driving force in implementing these. You have full budget, work environment and personnel responsibility within the unit as well as responsibility for driving the projects forward in accordance with established goals. You are expected to progressively develop and adapt the work within the unit and department based on the business plan and the organization's needs. Together with the unit managers for Technology and Production and Planned Maintenance and Space Adaptations, you are part of the department's management group. You ensure compliance with laws, regulations and policies affecting the unit's operations and work within the city's framework for project activities in construction and infrastructure. Your profile We are looking for you with relevant higher education or university education in civil engineering, real estate development or urban planning. You have many years of experience working in early stages of real estate development, plans and programs, and at least five years of management experience in the civil engineering industry. You are a clear, present and trust-based leader who creates commitment and involvement in your team. You are consistent in your leadership and confident in standing up for and supporting your employees, even in challenging situations and complex issues. You have strong leadership and communication skills as well as good experience collaborating with consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders. It is important that you have good knowledge of planning and building laws, real estate law and environmental legislation, as well as understanding of real estate economics and business aspects of projects. You work in a structured manner and have experience with budget and time planning. You have good problem-solving skills, are proactive and have the ability to drive the work forward with a focus on results. You are confident in handling multiple parallel processes and actively contribute to the organization's development.
