The City Services Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in Mölndal. The administration has approximately 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and facility maintenance, water and recycling, city maintenance, and support and customer service. City Maintenance has approximately 150 employees who manage the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's public environments. We are responsible for properties, streets, parks, and green spaces as well as other areas both indoors and outdoors. Through our work, we contribute to a clean, safe, and pleasant city for residents and visitors. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As Unit Manager for Park Maintenance, you have overall responsibility for leading, planning, and developing the operation responsible for the city's parks, green spaces, and public outdoor environments. The role involves comprehensive responsibility to ensure that the operation runs efficiently, with high quality, and in compliance with applicable laws, guidelines, and agreements. You are responsible for budget, personnel, and working environment, and actively work to optimize resource utilization to achieve financial goals, high delivery quality, and engaged employees. In daily operations, you lead a team of approximately 25 employees and are responsible for seasonal and summer staff, which requires close, clear, and structured leadership. The unit also consists of two coordinators who have a supervisory function and serve as support to the unit manager. You create favorable conditions for the operation and ensure stable and secure management of parks and green areas. The role involves a combination of strategic and operational work. You balance driving long-term development of the city's park and green structure with ensuring efficient daily operations. You also work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as other administrations, contractors, associations, and residents. As part of the City Maintenance management group, you play an important role in the operation's development. You contribute to strategic matters, drive improvement initiatives, and participate in urban development processes and development projects. In the role, you receive support from coordinators within the operation. In this position, you report to the Operations Manager and are part of the City Maintenance management group. On-call duty may occur. QUALIFICATIONS For the position of Unit Manager for Park Maintenance, we are looking for a confident and committed leader who can combine clear leadership with good understanding of outdoor environment operations and development. You have a relevant university degree or equivalent that the employer deems comparable. To succeed in the role, we see that you have documented management experience with responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances. You have experience in operation, maintenance, or development of park and outdoor environments and experience leading through others, such as employees or contractors. You have good knowledge of occupational health and safety work and experience with contract and agreement management. You also have strong ability to work systematically with budgeting, follow-up, and resource planning. As a leader, you are clear, communicative, and unpretentious. You create engagement and participation through accessible leadership and build trusting relationships both internally and externally. You have the ability to set direction, make decisions, and drive development in a structured manner. Since the position involves continuous dialogue with employees, colleagues, and external parties, it is important that you express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is a merit if you have experience from municipal operations or public administration, as well as knowledge of sustainability work, green planning, or urban development.
