We have four reception teams, a social emergency duty team and an administrative team. The reception unit's mission is to be the gateway to the administration regarding applications and reports, to conduct protection and preliminary assessments, to initiate investigations and to provide advice and link to services.
The unit consists of two unit managers who lead together and five team leaders. Today we are a unit with nearly 60 employees in administration, facilities management, social emergency duty and social workers in the reception.

DUTIES
As unit manager of the reception unit, you will have special responsibility for child welfare issues, administration and internal cooperation. Your unit manager colleague will have corresponding responsibility for adult affairs, eviction prevention, child protection centre and external cooperation. You work closely together and answer for a shared budget.
You are responsible for the unit's overall development, its operations, finances and working environment. You drive the unit's work with high quality, both strategically and operationally, by planning, leading, developing and following up on operations in close cooperation with your colleague. You are part of the management group and also in various networks and steering and management groups both internally within the administration and externally.

The key to success is the partnership between you and your unit manager colleague to create good relations and cooperation with fellow managers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basically, you are trained as a social worker or you have an academic education in behavioral science or equivalent that meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements to be qualified to perform tasks within the social services' child and youth care. You have several years of current experience working within social services with authority exercising and are used to cooperating with others both internally and externally. You have previously worked in a leading role as a team leader, manager or similar. If you have previously worked as a manager with full personnel, budget and working environment responsibility, this is seen as a great advantage.
You should enjoy a role where you collaborate in management and we are looking for a person who complements the current unit manager. As a person, you are confident, calm and stable. You believe in yourself and your abilities, but you are also good at involving others and listening. You enjoy development and change and are good at guiding others through it.
There is great interest in the operations - both internally within the administration and throughout the municipality. This means you need both the will and the ability to spread knowledge about how you work.
