Description The Social Welfare Administration in Perstorp Municipality is now seeking a unit manager for reception, family law, foster care, and child and youth services. Responsibilities About the Assignment As a unit manager, you are responsible for the operations: Reception Child and Youth Investigation Foster Homes Family Law You will lead a team of approximately twelve engaged employees and have responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and budget. The assignment involves ensuring legally secure authority with high quality, while simultaneously leading and driving the continued development of the operations based on the new social services law, current research, and future needs. An assignment with significant development focus Perstorp Municipality, like many other municipalities, faces major changes. The new social services law places increased demands on early interventions, collaboration, and a preventative approach. As an authority manager, you become a key person in the work of developing the operations. You create conditions for high quality in investigative work, develop effective and sustainable working methods, and ensure that the best interests of the child and the child's right to be heard permeate the entire operation, in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. An important part of the assignment is to continue developing foster care and create long-term sustainable solutions for placed children. The goal is that each child receives the right intervention based on their needs and, when compatible with the best interests of the child, is given the opportunity to be reunited with their guardians through a well-planned and secure homecoming. You will also have an important role in developing work with the three-party parenthood model, where biological parents, foster families, and social services together create the best possible conditions for the child. Through trusting and professional collaboration, we strengthen the child's security, participation, and long-term development. As a unit manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the operations maintain high legal quality and that authority is exercised legally securely and with high quality. You are a support for your employees in complex cases, provide guidance on various issues, and contribute to method development and quality assurance. When needed, you represent the social welfare board in legal processes and feel confident in legal proceedings and the demands placed on professional authority. Qualifications We are looking for a leader who combines trusting and present leadership with a strong development focus. You: Have a degree in social work Have experience being a manager with personnel, operations, and budget responsibility within public operations, preferably municipal Have experience with authority within child and youth social services Have good knowledge of the social services law, LVU, FB, and other relevant legislation Feel confident in legal processes Have experience guiding employees in complex cases and making well-founded decisions It is meritorious to have experience in change management and operations development Are communicative and create participation through clear and trust-based leadership Have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships both internally and externally Work strategically while having the ability to translate ideas into concrete improvements Are confident, courageous, and unpretentious, and have the ability to create engagement and development in your employees.
