Then this assignment might be for you! The Social Services Department at Gagnefs Municipality works to ensure that our elderly enjoy a good, secure, and meaningful everyday life. Home care is an important part of the municipality's elderly care, where we meet people in need of care, support, and professional service every day. One of our unit managers is now retiring, and therefore we are seeking an engaged, courageous, and present unit manager who wants to lead home care services and its operations forward with clear direction, stability, and a development focus. As a unit manager, you lead with trust and create conditions for employees to succeed in their important work. You will be part of the elderly care management team and work closely with other unit managers, support functions such as HR and finance, and external partners. Home care is divided into two districts led by two unit managers who work closely together. You report to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities Lead, allocate, and follow up on work within home care services. Take responsibility for personnel, work environment, finances, and operational development. Ensure that care and services are delivered with high quality and in accordance with applicable legislation. Create engagement, participation, and security for employees. Drive systematic improvement and development work. Collaborate internally and externally. Perform other relevant tasks related to the position. Qualifications You are a confident and clear leader who combines structure with attentiveness. You lead based on trust, are communicative, and have the ability to build good relationships. You take responsibility for your assignment, are solution-focused, and see opportunities for development even in complex situations. You plan and organize operations in a way that creates stability and quality, while remaining flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. As a manager at Gagnefs Municipality, you are a courageous role model who leads with both warmth and professionalism. To succeed in this role, you must have relevant education and experience from municipal operations, as well as strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You also have basic knowledge of relevant legislation such as SoL, HSL, workplace environment and employment law. We would also appreciate if you have developed your knowledge through leadership training or other relevant training focused on elderly care. Terms The position is permanent at 100% with start date by agreement. Before employment, a certificate of no criminal record from the police is required.
