We are now strengthening our organization with a newly established unit that will drive and develop the agency's strategic methodological support within GRC and our central continuity efforts. Here you will have a key role in shaping the structure, establishing common frameworks, and ensuring our ability to maintain critical deliveries in a changing environment.
Close leadership, change, sustainable workplace
As a unit manager, you are the manager who works closest to employees and operations. You are responsible for leading and driving daily work according to your department's mandate and goals, with public service values permeating your work. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as results and follow-up responsibility for your unit. You also represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in external collaborations.
Your unit is under development and consists of employees working with support for regulatory compliance, continuity, and preparedness issues. All employees are based in Sundsvall. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take responsibility and meet the need for change. You create understanding of context, direction, and the targets the department has set, and you develop the plans your operations need. As a unit manager, you are a support to the area manager and you participate in the area's management team where you contribute your expertise and commitment. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.
The position involves handling classified information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have high security awareness.

We are looking for someone who
has a university degree or experience and qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent
has experience with structured security work, preferably with a focus on governance, risk, continuity, and regulatory compliance (GRC)
has strong leadership ability
promotes others' professional and personal development
works to achieve goals and results, follows up on the effects of own and others' activities
has a systematic work approach
collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
has good self-awareness and is a stable person, promotes a trust-building work climate
promotes mutual dialogue, is receptive, and adapts communication according to need and situation
has a driver's license for a passenger car
It is a merit if you
have experience with information and cybersecurity frameworks, such as CIS Controls or ISO27000
have experience driving and developing systematic continuity work (Business Continuity Management) and risk management
have experience with systematic risk management
have experience with operational leadership, preferably in similar operations
have experience with coaching leadership and building up or leading an operation in transition
have experience planning your operations in collaboration with manager colleagues at a distance
have a good understanding of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's mandate

Other Information
One position, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. Trial employment may be applicable. Some positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive operations. To be employed in such a position, you must pass a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. This position requires Swedish citizenship. Remote work is possible if the work allows. Psychological testing may be used as part of the selection process in this recruitment. Work location: Sundsvall.
